"These two works hold a very special place in our hearts because we have been playing and working on them since 1999, the year our duo was formed.

Albéniz never wrote for guitar, but the essence and colours of this instrument mark his work, some pieces of which are sometimes more often played on the guitar than on the piano.

Albéniz's output is strongly influenced by the traditional music of the different regions of Spain: for example, in Aragon we can appreciate a Jota Aragonesa as well as a central Copla of great vocal quality. In Mallorca, we perceive all the admiration that Albéniz had for the Impressionist composers he frequented in Paris: Fauré, Debussy, and Ravel .
